Anthony Arya

Anthony Arya, a folk rock artist from the San Francisco Bay Area, first gained national attention at just 15 years old as a contestant on NBC’s The Voice. Praised by coach Adam Levine for his special talent and captivating audience engagement, Arya made a strong impression with his multiple appearances on the show. Following his television debut, he released his first album, Going to California, blending rock, folk, and jazz influences. This debut helped him earn the prestigious title of Presidential Scholar of the Arts in the Singer-Songwriter category and launched him into regular live performances around San Francisco and Santa Cruz.
While still in high school, Arya formed the Anthony Arya Band and began building a steady local following. His second album, The Road, released in 2020, reflected his admiration for folk legends like Bob Dylan and literary icons such as Jack Kerouac and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Capturing themes of freedom, love, and socio-political awareness, the album received praise for its authentic American storytelling spirit. Notably, an official music video for his song "California Air" was filmed in Santa Cruz, further cementing his connection to the West Coast music scene.
Continuing his momentum through college, Arya released his third album, Circles & the Flames, which showcased his growth as a songwriter. His work earned numerous international accolades, including finalist spots in prestigious competitions like the International Songwriting Competition and the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival. Songs like “Jaded Rust,” “Ballad of Eugene,” and “Lovers of Valdaro” highlighted Arya’s versatility, from nostalgic folk ballads to blues-driven storytelling. Music promoter David Bean heralded Arya as a leading figure among the next generation of iconic singer-songwriters.
By 2023, Arya had completed college and immediately began work on his fourth album, As It Turns Out, recorded at San Francisco’s historic Hyde St Studios. This release marked his first vinyl pressing and included plans for a major music video project. Performing over 160 shows in 2024 across Northern California, Arya captivated audiences with his soulful voice, dynamic stage presence, and expert guitar work. His performances bridge the classic folk rock traditions of Laurel Canyon with a fresh, modern energy, making him one of the most exciting young artists to watch today.
